I’m and persuade, and I bought this product to help top equipment out in unsafe or hard to get to areas, follow pipe, and count containers. It has definately lived up to my expectations. I also bought a 1mW red pointer so i may maybe do a side by side evaluation.
Pro’s:
-power is phenomenal.
-surrounded by use: even if it starts out weak, after a few seconds it’ll get to much out of then a red pointer. in a dark construction my red pointer has a array of in this area 50 to 65 yds. this green pointer can get to up to 200yds after just a few seconds. this is very cool, but not very helpful in view of the fact that you seldom top out equipment that far away.
-out door use: outside is everywhere this product excels. on a sunny day the red pointer had a array of maybe 10 ft. the green pointer desires to warm up a few seconds first, but then it’s visible for up to 20 to 30yds depending on how sharp it is. at max power it can get to in this area 150yds on a ordinary brightness day. It will work when shined owing to windows, and one time on a sunny day, i shined it on the top of my 190ft pipe, the dot at the top was weak but visible.
-on super sharp, sunny days it’s doesn’t work very well, but i’m not item that in the con’s in view of the fact that you will need a ridiculously strong laser that would cost a chance.
-in the dark you can see the beam trailing away, which is really cool, but if you’re export it to mess with people, they’ll use it to spot your place.
Cons:
- It starts off weaker then a fixed pointer. after 3 to 5 seconds it’ll be brighter then a ordinary 1mW red pointer (ordinary power). it can take 10 to 20 seconds to get to maximum power if you place of safeguard’t used it in a while. consumer service said this is habitual in view of the fact that the heat-sink desires to heat up
- it’s abstractedly bulkier then a the red pointer. more like a permanent marker then a pen.
- if the electrical contacts between the 2 half’s get soil, it kills normal (even if that must be probable of any pen style laser pointer, and they’re basically cleaned.
Also, to the guy who thinks it’s a “hacked” 1mW pointer in view of the fact that of a sticker he saw – mine at home with a <30mW sticker on it.

The product performs as advertised. I have a 50 mW from the same vendor and this (30 mW) one was a gift.
While the 30 mW is not as sharp as the 50 mW that is to be probable. Both are much brighter than my 5 mW translation.
They both encounter the idosyncratic trend to demand life warmed in the hand or sack for a small time at temperatures not more than 50 degrees F, as they will not productivity at full power at low temperatures. Once they have been warmed, they both perform well.
As with the 50 mW translation, be very careful everywhere you top the 30 mW. They are both VERY sharp and can do harm if shined into someones eyes.
By and large, the vendor delivered yet to be of the look excellent date and the product is as advertised. Will beyond doubt buy from them over again.
I would urge that these be used out-of-doors, exclusively, as the beams/dots are extremely (that is – too sharp) intense and not really apposite for surrounded by use, such as for presentations (except used from far away from the screen. The 30 mW is better for surrounded by use than the 50 mW, if you persist on by one at home).
DO NOT use them to play with your pets…You may maybe basically blind them with just the reflection!!!
BE CAREFUL with any and all laser pointers, especially these power levels.
(Note: as these are presumed (not proven) to be made in Plates, the feature may vary. I also presume that the vendor will exchange any that do not perform to the advertised specs.)

I bought two of these for my work and both bunged effective reliably after a few presentations. Here is an evident rattling within the pointers and the pin is baggy on both units. The beam is only occasionally sharp and seldom steady. They were handled with care and were not dropped. Poor, low-cost construction.
