@HerZong : Here in europe they are called the 550d and in the states radical t2i.
Key Hurricane lantern firmware has been released, so blue-collar audio control lacking AGC is now available.
I marvel why some of the T2i/550D has 550D on the camera and some has T2i on it so is it mean something to either one? If you may maybe delight rejoinder to my inquiry I would appreciate it. Thank you.
reckon you (:
I am? more of a photographer but also like to play with video, Canon EOS 550D or Nikon D90?

I Hope I get hired from jobs I’ve applied I want to start my own channel but, I don’t have a excellent notebook and I don’t have a camera*crossing fingers*
Is here any rumors of a new radical appearance out like a t3i or something?
Thankfulness for the Video!!!

@thepiecesfit
You absolutely need ND with this camera out-of-doors. My comment on ND filters was in allusion to ordinary video cameras and the tricks you have to do to grasp shallow deepness of field. Thankfulness to the 35 mm lenses on the T2i, you don’t have to alternative to any tricks to get that look. But over again, you DO need ND when shooting video out-of-doors.
You mentioned that you dont need Neutral Density filters with this camera. But this may maybe not be further than the certainty. By the 180 top close alacrity rule. ND filters are a necessity. Upping the close alacrity will cause problems with the video. So except you want to accurate down the gap you are mandatory to use a ND filter.
@LouCap
Yeah, Canon has really raised the bar for access amount DSLRs with the 550D.
Lots of my acquaintances have Nikon DSLRs so I’ve been contemplating being paid one of them for a while, but after reading in this area the 550D it abruptly made the choice a total lot simpler. It packs a ridiculous quantity of features at a very attractive fee top. So a bargain to be sure.
Anyway, thank you for your video. Granted I’ve made my choice already, but it’s always nice to see people justifying my declaration.
@TGM337
Gotcha! You’re assess that the Key Hurricane lantern firmware will take up many of the issues I raised. But, as a video guy, even lacking the the firmware, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this camera. It’s a crazy bargain!
@LouCap
I didn’t mean video feature complaints, but very the video tape capabilities – more specifically the limitations of the audio.
Honestly I’ve never tried the Key Hurricane lantern firmware. I’m in this area to get my first DSLR (the 550D) in a couple of weeks and I’ve been reading up a lot on it just – which is why I establish your video here.
I just figured I’d let you know in this area the Key Hurricane lantern firmware in view of the fact that it seems to take up most, if not all, of the issues you mentioned in your review.
@TGM337
Who complained in this area the video? The video feature is brilliant, that’s the thrust of the review. The AUDIO foliage something to be desired, but that can be overcome with an external recorder. Are you just pimping the Key Hurricane lantern firmware? Regardless, I reckon that will add some much looked-for capabilities to the camera, so thankfulness for that.
A propos your complaints with video on the 550D, the Key Hurricane lantern custom firmware addresses all persons issues and it’s on its way to the 550D.
